Local chimney and fireplace cleaning, inspection, repair and installation for Golden homeowners.
Serving Golden
Golden sits right where the plains meet the mountains, tucked between North and South Table Mountain and the foothills, home to the Colorado School of Mines and a historic downtown. Its older homes and dramatic foothills setting make it distinct from the flatter metro.
Saturn Chimney & Fireplace provides chimney and fireplace cleaning, inspection, repair and installation for homeowners in Golden and throughout the Denver Metro.
Local climate & your chimney
Golden is known for strong downslope and canyon winds that funnel out of the foothills — winds that work hard at chimney caps, covers and flashing. Combine that with older masonry near downtown and the freeze-thaw of a foothills climate, and the crown and cap deserve real attention here.
Sitting near the foothills, this area catches downslope and canyon winds that work at caps, covers and flashing, along with the freeze-thaw cycles that come with cold nights and sunny days. Homes closer to the hills often burn wood, which adds creosote to the list of things to watch.

For a regularly used wood-burning system, an annual inspection and cleaning is a sensible baseline — ideally before the heavy-burning months. Gas systems still benefit from periodic inspection.
