Saturn Chimney & Fireplace provides chimney and fireplace cleaning, inspection, repair and installation for homeowners in Fountain and throughout the Colorado Springs Area.
Local climate & your chimney
Out on the open ground south of the Springs, Fountain catches dry wind and periodic hail that work at caps and covers. The area's newer homes rely on prefab systems, while older ones have masonry chimneys that benefit from a periodic check.
Out on the open plains, steady wind and periodic hail are the main forces working on a chimney, dry air and wide temperature swings drive freeze-thaw, and exposure is constant. Older farmhouse chimneys and newer prefab systems alike depend on sound caps and covers here.
